"SHOOT!" -- An All-Photography Show sponsored by the Box Factory for
the Arts will accept photographs from January 5th through January 12th on the
Box Factory's lower level (Riverwalk Gallery). Hours when photos will be
accepted are Monday-Friday from 1:00-3:30 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.
No work will be accepted on Sunday, Jan. 6th. All camera-born images, no matter
how they are manipulated, will be accepted. Two photos can be entered with a
registration fee of $20. Photographs can be entered in the categories of
animals, people, nature, and still life. Submitted artwork must be framed and
ready for gallery hanging.
Unframed cell phone photos will also be accepted for a $1 entry fee; however, they are not eligible for awards. Proceeds from this category will be donated to Child and Family Services. The size submitted can be up to 5 x 7 inches and will be incorporated into a photo montage for gallery display.
The Box Factory reserves the right to reject artwork that is deemed inappropriate for display to the general public.
Prizes of $200 each will be awarded for Best of (Each) Category, Best of Show and People's Choice at the opening reception on January 18. The reception from 5:30 - 7:30 pm is free and open to the public. The Berrien Springs Camera Club is sponsoring the $200 People's Choice Award and the Box Factory is sponsoring the Best of Category awards and the Best of Show award.
The show will be exhibited in all three Box Factory galleries through February 24th.
