February’s competition meeting was filled with some
excellent photographic entries using long exposures, sequencing (although only
one entry was accepted), as well as nature, portraits and open categories. A
big thanks to Jim Lynch(middle photo, left) procuring fine judges for the difficult task of
separating the honors from the accepted. This month’s Print of the Month Award
goes to Leroy Patterson (top photo) for his entry Golden
Gate. Digital of the Month Award goes to Suzanne McDonough (bottom photo) for her entry Bond Falls. Great eats were provided by
Tom and Suzanne. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, we’ll meet again in March for
a lesson on using MixBooks to make a calendar. In the meantime, keep that
shutter focused on your mind’s eye and tell those stories in photos.
