The monthly meeting of the Berrien Springs Camera Club will be on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. at its usual venue, the Berrien Springs Community Library at Cass and Union. The presenter will be member and award-winner Jim Lynch, back to share again some of his own techniques. This time he will show us the unique pictures he takes from within about 50 feet of his car. “These images will show that you don’t have to do a lot of walking to wild and remote places to get very good images,” Lynch says. He claims, “I am working under the lazy person’s theory that anything more than 50 feet from your car is not photogenic.” Club members who watch his images take top prizes in each competition have to acknowledge that the ditches he “shoots” are very photogenic.
Lynch holds membership also in other camera clubs, including the Twin Cities Camera Club and the Fernwood Camera Club.
In the November meeting he will discuss how he spots these photogenic objects, what equipment he uses to photograph them, safety aspects of working on roadsides, and more.
All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.
