Our first competition meeting of the 2013-2014 season included over 200 print and digital photographs from some amazing photographers. Bradley Austin gave us an outstanding overview of the iphone’s camera capabilities and shared a few of his favorite apps for processing. He believes that the most useful camera we have is the one we carry around with us all the time, yep, you guessed it, our cell phones.
A huge thank you to our judges for the evening, Sheila Elkins, Dennis Mally and Dick Lyon. Their choice for Print of the Month was Harbor Morning by Leroy Patterson, and the Digital of the Month, Rob Shellhammer won the honor with his photo Spring Bird.
Thanks to the Mendel’s for the great snacks, too.
Our next competition meeting is Wednesday, December 4, 2013. The select categories will be Fog-Mist and Graffiti-Street Art. Keep your cameras close, keep ‘em ready and remember your cell phone is in your pocket. Happy snapping. Thanks to the Mendel’s for the great snacks, too.
